Working alongside Railtrack and Network Rail, this project involved the management and development of the multi-modal Ground Transport Interchange at Manchester Airport. This £40m transport hub project involved the delivery of the heavy rail and bus station and was supported by £300m of rail investment, as well as the creation of a commercial cluster of hotels and 150,000 sq ft of offices around the interchange facility.
More recently, responsibility shifted to the negotiation with Transport for Greater Manchester to deliver the £350m Metrolink tram extension to Manchester Airport, which opened ahead of schedule in 2014.
Connectivity around the transport hub has been further enhanced by his work undertaken on the A6 to Manchester Airport road link. This £290m project is now underway and already opening up further land and development opportunities locally.
